Terms of Service

These terms govern use of Seal the Date websites and services operated by Seal the Date Ltd (“we”, “us”), based in the Midlands, United Kingdom. By creating an account, placing an order or using an invitation link you agree to them. Related policies: Privacy, Cookies, Refunds.

1. The service

We design and host digital wedding invitations with an envelope-opening experience, customisation, guest list tools and online RSVP. Packages currently include Essential (£159), Signature (£249) and Bespoke (from From £499). Features and guest limits differ by package as described on our pricing page and are enforced in the product.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate details and keep login credentials secure. Studio admin access is granted only to authorised Seal the Date staff. Partner accounts are for venues and businesses in our referral programme.

3. Orders & payment

Prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable as shown at checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe. Placing an order creates a contract for the selected package and any add-ons. We may refuse or cancel orders that appear fraudulent or abusive.

4. Studio workflow

After payment, invitations typically move through review, preview and publish steps handled by our studio (except where the product allows self-serve paths). You are responsible for the accuracy of names, dates and content you submit. Published invitations remain available under our retention policy unless refunded or removed under these terms.

5. Your content & guests

You retain rights in photos and copy you upload. You grant us a licence to host and display them to deliver the service. You must have permission to use guest personal data and images. Do not upload unlawful, infringing or harmful content.

6. Acceptable use

You must not probe, scrape or overload the service; attempt to bypass package limits or security controls; misuse RSVP or referral endpoints; or use the service for spam. We may rate-limit or suspend access to protect the platform.

7. Intellectual property

Templates, envelope art, software and branding remain our property (or our licensors'). Purchase grants a licence to use your finished invitation for your wedding communications, not to resell templates or reverse engineer the product.

8. Referrals & discounts

Referral codes and promo codes are subject to their stated rules, including caps and expiry. Abuse (including self-referral schemes we reasonably consider fraudulent) may void rewards.

9. Availability & liability

We aim for reliable hosting but do not warrant uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be limited under UK law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Subject to that, our total liability for a claim relating to an order is limited to the amount paid for that order.

10. Consumer rights

If you are a consumer in the UK, nothing here affects your statutory rights. Digital content refund rules are set out in our Refund & cancellation policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence if you are a consumer.
